fuel filter

I went and bought a fuel filter replacement for my van and taking a look at this filter would definetly need a service teck to replace it because it involves in disconect battery term, putting it on a lift, draining gas tank, dropping tank, disconnecting and removing old fuel filter and harness to replace it with new fuel filter and harness. Then install gas tank with new gaskit and fresh gas. Reconect battery and and should be on your way.

The fuel filter is on top of the fuel tank. crawl under the passenger side and look up on top of the tank next to the fuel pump changing it yourself is a challange. You will have to lower the gas tank to get at it. I used a motorcycle jack to lower the fuel tank just enough to get at the bracket bolt and fittings to the fuel pump. The filter comes with 3 plastic lines with fittings on the end, 2 go to the fuel pump and one to the line to the engine. Took me about 1 hr - my 96 has 215k miles
