This should signal a problem with the air bag system that could be dangerous.
Sounds like a problem with your SRS sensor, or the airbag itself. It's a critical safety item, and you need a visit to a shop.

Mine was caused by the clockspring.......which is a recall item.....dealership repaired it for free.
