Hello, Looks like it is part of the fuel pump assembly. Fuel mileage that bad should already kick on the check engine light, or the engine coolant temperature is too low, or maybe both. Even if you have no check engine light on, and even if the coolant temperature reads middle between hot and cold, scan for trouble codes. You may have one pending.
