2010 caliber clicking and knocking with Air

What is your question?

Every time, I turn my air on it starts to either clicks or knocks and when I shut it off they both stop?

What makes this problem better or worse?

if air is off no sound. but when air is turned on, click and knock starts.

How long has your 2010 Dodge Caliber had this problem?
