What is your question?
Hi there, I have a 2007 dodge calibre. I recently replaced my power steering pump, serpentine belt, some idler pullies, tensioner and fixed some leaks in my power steering line. When my car is in drive and not moving, when I turn my steering wheel, my car makes a type of ticking/slight grind/click noise that can be heard most loudly on the passenger side. I do not hear the noise when the car is driving and turning at medium to high speeds, just when the car is stationary, but there is more resistance to the wheel than normal. Also when I turn my wheel furthest to the left and right, I hear the same ticking noise plus a whining noise. Weirdly, I checked my cv joint and it seems to be fine, also it may be important is that the new serpentine belt that I installed has a slight rip in it already and is not aligned correctly on the pullies. Going to put the belt back on correctly tomorrow and see if that helps, but I am confused about this one. Thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when stationary and turning in drive
How long has your 2007 Dodge Caliber had this problem?
a week, after power steering fixes, everything was smooth while turning
