My gas gauge doesnt work how do i fix it?

most likely its a fuse or your fuel pump which has the sensor on it has went out, either way taking your fuel pump out to inspectt it for dirt grime on the filter to fuel level arm is not that difficult with the proper manual from chilton to haynes which are repair manuals found at most automotive stores like autozone or oreileys auto parts follow the steps properly and don't fill up before you try to remove the fuel pump, diy'n it will save you money.

90% of the time,when your fuel guage does not work,its the sender on the fuel pump,part of the pump assembly.the whole assembly has to be replaced to correct this,tank has to be dropped to do this.if its the original,its 21 years old.there are a couple different assemblys for your van,depends on tank size and if return system or not.if you just want to drive it,the pump still works,just keep plenty of gas in it.if you know about how many miles you get per tank full,just use your odometer trip button,and keep up with the miles.then you know when to refuel.
