What is your question?
especially on a hot day and more so when pulling a hill. ANYWAYS, MY OIL PRESSURE IS FINE BUT AFTER DRIVING 20 OR SO MILES, ESPECIALLY PULLING A HILL ON A HOT DAY, WHEN I COME TO A STOP THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT COME ON AND JUST FALLS TO "NO-PRESSURE." I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, ITS AN AUTOMATIC, AND IT GOES BACK UP. I PUT IT INTO DRIVE AND ITS FINE WHILE DRIVING....UNTIL I COME TO THE NEXT STOP AND HAVE TO REPEAT THAT SERIES. IT DOES FINE ON A SHORT TRIP. I HAVE READ-UP AND AM CONFUSED. OIL-PUMP? SENSOR? RELAY SWITCH? ANYONE KNOW?

Have the oil pressure TESTED with a test gauge to find out the actual pressure after engine is at operating temp. ...Got to know that first! Then go from there!!... What's the mileage on the van?... How many miles on it?
when have you last changed your oil and filter ,filter may be blocked causing the bypass valve to open thus saving your engine also have you got the right grade of engine oil for the climate your in you may need to go heavier also make sure you have the level correct as going up hills really alters the level .if you have doubts try screwing another oil pressure gauge into the block and see what you get ,how many miles has the van done ?thin oil is good for cold climates 5w30 but you may need to go 20w50 do the easy stuff first new oil and filter but the right grade will tell you in the manual if you have one its the only stuff that you should really get right,I take it this is engine and not trans,if trans then it could still be the filter in trans sump and the wrong oil.regards
it has 135 thousand miles. 318. everything i have read keeps pointing to electrical? i'm suppose to take it to the dodge dealer in chico california and shitttt! like to avoid that or at 2nd best....have a good idea first before going. thanj you
Damn good engine!!.... Hard to fix anything with a guess!! I have always had to do some testing first... not that lucky .., i reckon!... You can start by installing some parts.. like the oil pressure switch.... Good luck with it!!
Thank You, its appreciated. It is one-hell-of-an-engine and after looking at all the prices piece of shits for sell.....I'M GOING TO FIX IT. I need to read-up on "how to test the oil pressure switch." Again, thank you
