Cd player works but radio doesnt

I just installed a new antenna cause the old one dry rotted and it was cutting in and out. Installed new antenna and it hesitated to pick up station then it worked but now I can't get it to play again but it will play a cd

What makes this problem better or worse?

It's the same all the time
