why do my headlights always stay on?

Hello, something is pushing power through to the lights - when not desired. When this happens, it could be the result of a switch issue, wiring connector damage at the switch, wiring damage at the switch, or some kind of short to power in the circuit providing power to the system without being commanded. It can also be something control module related. Testing will need to be performed to eliminate the control module as commanding the lights to be on - first. Once this is eliminated from the possible causes, then you'll have to do inspection and circuit testing to find out what's going on.
