Been told I need a head gasket on a 2013 dodge avenger4cly.

What is your question?

I have replaced a cooling hose $200. a thermastat, a radiator and now being told a head gasket because it is still running hot. Is this the order of repair? could they not find this out before the radiator was replaced?
