2012 Dodge Avenger After flushing my coolant system my petcock/drain plug now has a steady consistent drip after opening it & closing it a couple times. Is this something that could be solved by a bottle of coolant leak stop or am I looking at a more serious issue?

Thanks for the info, I haven't used any yet mainly cuz I've heard someone else say that same thing in another forum.... I'm somewhat curious though as to why it is that this is so commonly advised against using...is it something that can cause damage to an engine & if so how the heck is this even a marketable product for a company to push I'd think the liability of possible law suits from ruined engines would keep any company from even attempting to market a product that is so damaging to consumers property?.... It's crazy what some of these companies get away with Hocking to unknowing consumers
Yes, it can cause damage due to clogging coolant passages.
It can be marketed because -- people still buy it!
My guess is that no lawsuits would hold water because it doesn't guarantee anything.
