If there is no warning light will a code still come up when scanned? I think it’s my thermostat but not sure. Car overheated 2x in 7 days but not always I’ll sit and it’s fine for a couple of days overheat light is all that comes up only at the time

Car running but sitting. Ac on auto 71 -80 degrees out. Putting in gear and driving didn’t help engine off sat 20 minutes then fine happened again 6 days later
