got in my car after work and car would not go into gear i pulled the trim on the shifter and i have to pull back on a pink trim pices thats conected to a cable then it will go in gear what do i do to fix this my car was fine when i went o work and befor

Sounds like the shift cable assembly is defective, need to replace that. here is a link to a site with repair manual info for your vehicle, there is a small fee but it is well worth it. http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online
there was a recall on gear shifter cable i had to get it replaced when it got stuck in reavers find out
