positive cable is shorting out

This is a safety issue. I would take it to a professional shop and have the electrical system properly diagnosed. I would disconnect BOTH battery cables ASAP. Electrical shorts are why a lot of cars catch on fire and burn.

u must not have a good connection on ur positive battery terminal..it must be loose..had a few problems like that

I had the same problem and it was because my positive post on my battery was coming in contact with my hood.
