What can I use to remove the timing chain gear that is pressed on the crankshaft

I have a 01 Chrysler Voyager with a 2.4l edz engine and I need to get the timing gear for the balancing shaft chain off of the crankshaft. I can't find any documentation on this anywhere not even in a repair manual. I tired buying a standard 5" 3 jaw puller but the jaws won't fit behind the gear. I attempted to lightly pry with a screw driver but I can't bring myself to put that much force on the crank. I am about to try drilling and tapping holes for bolts.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
*****Note this is not the timing sprocket that runs the timing BELT. This is the balancing shaft sprocket********
