The "key" isn't a key in this case. It's a black plastic key thing with a blunt end that fits into a hollow in the dash. It has the buttons for opening the doors, panic etc. There is a real key fitted into it in case of power failure, but this only works the door locks. There is nowhere in the dash for a real key...Realized it's still under warranty till the end of May..Chrysler's coming to tow it..Thanks for the reply..Larry
