where is the Powertrain Control Module & how to replace it

It's quite a bit more to PCM replacement than simply swapping out the part .. It is not wise for the DIYer to attempt! â–ªï¸https://repairpal.com/repair-shopsâ–ªï¸
Hello elfig3986180354, If you have any questions about the Powertrain Control Module I would check out our page on it, it has some great details on the PCM I think you could get a lot out of, including its location. I'll leave the link to the page below. Replacing the PCM can be quite difficult, but it involves purchasing a new PCM and using that to replace the older/malfunctioning one. Let us know if you have any other questions. https://repairpal.com/PCM-power_train-control-module RepairPal Oliver
Better yet: WHY are you looking to replace it? 99% of the time, the engine processor is not the cause of any failure you are experiencing. Yet, people -- even technicians -- have a tendency to "guess" at this for resolving concerns. I can tell you that in the last 23 years working at repair shops every day, I can count useful replacement of engine processors on two hands probably. Further, as pushrod said, who is going to progarm the new processor if you replace it? Who is going to "inhale" data from the old one when preparing to install a new one? Who will program keys if necessary?
