I have an 09 town & country and the starter will not disengage so it will not start

If you try and start the van the stater will not disengage until you turn the key to off and pull it out a little the motor is firing and wants to start but won’t with the starter not disengaging what are something’s that it could be

How long has your 2009 Chrysler Town & Country had this problem?

Just changed the battery and it started doing it the next day
