What is your question?
No noise made when turning key other than a 'click' or two. Engine does not crank. Charged the battery- 12.5V, still no crank or start (all day, overnight & next morn'). Mechanic came to house 4mos ago in Marion County, FL & sold me a $100. "Professional Battery" saying the cells were dead in mine. I asked if alternator was drawing too much charge on battery: he said no. I asked if starter, ignition &/or switch, cylinders, tumblers, solenoid may be problem: he said no. I was in a 'spot', needed transportation, bought battery. Problem was seemingly fixed very temporarily. Then after few days, same problem kept happening intermittently over the next 2mos. Mechanic in Orlando, FL had the car every day for 1mo (while I was away) and said he couldn't replicate the problem-- it wasn't happening to him (cold start, running for long time, all times of day). He said it started perfectly for him every time. This was very hard to imagine since it was happening very frequent to me. Upon my return, problem started happening again to me every time I get into it since I've been back x1 week now. Could it be the starter, ignition &/or switch, or the cylinders, tumblers or solenoid? PLEASE HELP...I have appointments, interviews, etc... THANK YOU for your time and assistance… Please answer with tools needed, types of meters needed…Thanks! RepairPal Answers last night: Yes, it could be starter, cylinder, tumblers… maybe a new key. (Need a multi-meter to check these things) My Q: Where is the best place to find a good quality multi-meter at lowest cost? What other tools do I need to fix this myself and what is the estimated time it takes to fix this? THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VALUED TIME AND ASSISTANCE!!
