what type of wrench do I need to remove a front brake rotor?

Remove the 2 caliper guide pins to remove the caliper and replace the pads. To replace the rotors, you will have to remove the Brake Caliper adapter as well. Remove the (2) bolts holding the adapter to the steering knuckle. Remove the adapter and rotors.
I own a 2001 Town & Country Limited and it's brake caliper needs a 7 mm allen wrench to loosen the two caliper bolts and take off the caliper. To then take off the rotor, there are also two 21mm (13/16") bolts that hold on the caliper bracket. The rotor can't be removed without taking off this bracket. Today I used a 21mm box end wrench and a hammer to loosen and remove the bracket bolts. FYI - a large spark plug socket is 21 mm but I broke my socket trying to remove the bolt - the box end wrench was a better tool for the job.
