I am trying to write a review on an auto shop I recently went to, and don't see where it lets me do so.

My auto repair service at All Car Specialists didn't end well when the owner Mr Paul Brow sued me in court. The details of the court case are public and can viewed here unicourt.com/case/ca-la1... In my opinion All Car Specialists is the most dishonest auto repair shop I have ever encountered. It's also my opinion that ACS participates in deceptive and unethical business practices. ACS provided me with a written estimate of $110 to diagnose my cars overheating problem. My work order says "Diagnose Vehicle Overheating $110." You would think this would cover all diagnostic tests needed to diagnose my cars overheating problem. This was not the case. On more than one occasion Ron the service advisor called me and wanted me to pay for "additional testing". ACS had not even determined why my car was overheating, but Ron wanted to charge me extra fees for "additional testing". In my opinion ACS provided a lower initial estimate to get me to commit to the repair and then later used the "additional testing" to extract more money from me later on during the service. I told Ron that I had already paid for diagnostic testing. ACS wrote into my work order "Customer declined further testing". This was used against me in court. Mr. Paul Brow said in court that he charges $100 just to lift the hood of my car. This is a hidden fee that is not listed on my service contract. After two failed attempts to repair my car (the first time assuring me that repairs were completed and the car was running okay), the service advisor handed me a copy of BMW service bulletin SIB-17-01-02 that describes a simple 4-step verification check for severely overheated BMW engines. This check verifies whether permanent engine damage exists from overheating. ACS included this document in my work order under the labor section making it appear that they completed this check. ACS stated that per the BMW bulletin check my car needed an entire new coolant system. This BMW engine check was not done because ACS considered it as "further inspection". ACS wrote into my work order "Customer declined any further inspection". It's my opinion that ACS used the BMW bulletin document as an enticement, hoping that I would agree to have them install a new coolant system. I'm not sure how ACS determined my car would have needed a new coolant system without having performed this check. Further, this check is the first thing ACS should have done given my report of overheating. Instead, they chose (in first repair) to replace the cooling system expansion tank (which was empty), replace the thermostat (which may have been okay), and add some coolant. For these minor repairs they charged $719.00 (on top of the $110 diagnostic fee). It is my belief that after the first repair, ACS did not run the engine long enough to confirm that it would not overheat again. After the car overheated again and I took it back, they replaced the top radiator hose (which they likely disconnected and re-attached during their first attempt at repair), and added more coolant. For these additional repairs, they charged $345.00. It was not until after the second repair that ACS advised me of replacing the entire coolant system. The cost of an entire new coolant system would not have included the repair of any engine damage that may have occurred as a result of the overheating. My court documents said that I had never expressed any problem when I paid. What I remember is that I expressed my unhappiness over paying $1275 when ACS failed to diagnose my cars overheating problem. I had no choice but to pay the bill because ACS would not return the vehicle to me otherwise. Immediately after I paid ACS, I had the vehicle towed directly to another (more reputable) repair shop so that they could determine the true cause of the overheating. The other shop charged me only $104 for a comprehensive analysis. They found hydrocarbons in the coolant system. They recommend that I replace my cars engine. I have documents that prove this. ACS ripped me off paying $1275 for parts and labor I did not need. I felt that I was lied to and taken advantage of by ACS, not only during the repair service, but also in the court room. Based upon my experience with All Car Specialists, I would NOT recommend ACS for any auto repairs. This was the worse experience I have ever had with a automotive repair shop.
Well that is convenient for the shop owners, isn’t it??
How do I get a survey? I would like to post a review about ACT Automotive Certified Technicians / ACT Auto Care and Collision in Mesquite, NV 89027.
Of course the shop knows they screwed up and they certainly aren't going to send us a survey to fill out. This is only good for shopowners. Do not do business with Tony Claflin, he will rip you off.
