my oil light comes on at idle goes off when i hit throtle how do i check pressur

STOP DRIVING THIS CAR. You remove the oil pressure sending unit and install a direct reading mechanical gage. Factory spec is 4 PSI at idle and 25 to 80 PSI at 3000 RPM's. If oil pressure is within specs replace oil sending unit.
