fuel pump fuse,20amp blew, replacement blew.40 amp fuse seems to work, what could be the problem.

get the 40 amp fuse out immediately. you risk an electrical fire by allowing more current than the wire can handle. why do you think they have different size fuses?? anyway, it may be the fuel pump pulling too much current. have a shop check it out and give you a bid Roy
