cost of replacing ball joints

I just had the lower ball joints in my wifes sebring 2001 replaced. The cost of doing just the bottom which involves replacing the complete lower control arm. The cost is 550.00 to 600.00 for lower only, that's including the front end alignment. Another 280.00 if you do the top also.
