Check engin light doesn't work

Hi, Well your problem could be as easy as the bulb in the dash doesn't work. First and foremost a good scanner will tell you if the light is on or off and some will even test the cluster itself depending on the vehicle. Figure and hr or so to pull out the cluster and check the bulb and its circuits.
