What causes the car to overheat, spew coolant and water, and makes bubbling sounds

not knowing the circumstances ofthe incident, there are several possible causes of overheating. My wife's 2002 PT had to have the water pump replaced, but that was indicated by a slow leak from the pump. Also it could be the radiator fan not running, which had previously happened on her car. I have had radiator thermostats freeze up which can cause overheating. Check them all out.

I really hope it is not your head gasket. How old is she and mileage? Also have you changed the antifreeze out lately, the rad iator can become clogged with old antifreeze that causes scale build up in the small fins.
