With a FULLY charged battery , does it crank over faster or in an unusual rhythm compared to before , when it did run? I would suggest NOT using starting fluid!
Listen for the fuel pump to wind up and pressurize when the ignition is energized. If you had any codes they would illuminate with the "CK ENG" light. Also pull the # 1 spark plug wire and ground it, this can be done with a long screw driver in the plug boot and ground nicely on the frame or such on the car. WHEN last did you do the timing belt? If it has slipped a few teeth down on the crankshaft due to age it with spin with the starter to no avail. Pull the reference plastic plug on the upper timing cover and see if it does rotate. There are 3 things to fire it up fuel, spark and the belt moving.
