The Crankshaft vibration damper pulley removal is performed with a standard 3 jaw Puller (1026) and a Crankshaft Damper insert (6827A) which can be substituted with any bolt which will slip into the crankshaft for the Puller's forcing screw to push against. The Miller tool 6827A , (USD) $10.23 Tool Name INSERT, CRANKSHAFT Description This pulley damper insert is used on 2.0 and 2.4L engine with pullers 1026 and 8454. 1995 thru Current . if u have threaded holes in the front of the pulley- i think u need a different style puller, think of threading into the center, then thread in jacking bolts in front of pulley to pull pulley out
There is a special puller for those that hooks into three slots on the face of the pulley, not on the outside like a typical three jaw puller. I would think a typical three jawed puller might damage the pulley......make sure you have the dedicated puller. HTH dg
okay
