What is your question?
I have an '02 PT cruiser and everytime I turn the steering wheel (either side), I hear a loud growl/grinding noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. From previous oil changes, the mechanic has told me to replace the inner tie rod and the ball joint. Could these be the culprits or is this part of another problem? Thanks!

Usually noises from the front end of a front wheel drive car indicates worn CV joints. But if your tie rods are dry, you can buy zerk fittings for them (about $1.00 each) and replace the little screw near the joint with a zerk fitting and then squeeze chassis grease in there with a grease gun being careful not to overfill. This should be done approx every 10,000 miles.
it could be dry ball joints as factory cannot be lubed due to no greses zerts
you can repl 1 at a time
Thanks, but would it be a good idea to replace both or just the one the mechanic told me about? I don't want to waste money on two, if it is unnecessary.
