What is your question?
My accessory drive belt broke off of my 2002 pt cruiser. I'm able to drive still if I put power behind it but am afraid that I'll break something else if I drive it any longer. Ive been stranded for 5 days out of fear of driving my car and causing more damage (that I really can't afford) but am desperate to get it somewhere that it can at least be looked at by a friend. Any advice? The car has also been overheating but that is (I believe) a separate issue. I'm a single female and dont have a lot of money so I'm in a pretty difficult position. Thanks!

NAW! you have been stranded for 5 days?have you been asleep all that time?why not go to a parts house and buy you a belt?Riverside CA is full of parts places.if you keep driving the car,and it over heats and fries the motor, then a $20.00 belt won't do you any good.over heating is probably due to the belt not being there anymore.
I'm about 80 miles away from Riverside which is why I'm stranded. No one wants to drive 160 miles round trip just to put a belt on my car for me. The overheating is a wiring issue that goes back to when I first bought the car about 8 months ago. I finally found a kind soul 7 miles from my current location who has agreed to put the belt on for $40...hallelujah! Fingers crossed that my car is okay for the 7 miles.
