There are gas pistons on the each side of the liftgate, they are blk. Cost varies from place to place but about 25 per side so 50 total. Installation is easy, they have a clip that you pry up with a flat head screwdriver. The size depends on the space in the clip, pry it up with a small amt of force and slowly incerase it to pry the clip up. Doing so will prevent it from popping off from the piston and then gently wiggle it and pulling out the sametime will remove it.
