2007 pacifica touring 4.0L radiator fan kicks in on engine start, idles at 1000 rpm and wont shift passed 2nd gear. It started out intermittent not shifting passed 2nd gear this would happen once every month or 2. Then it went to once a week now to every time. I used to be able to turn off the car and it would fix it, that no longer works. When it won't shift the radiator fan runs at cold start and the engine idles high

Hello, the radiator fan being on and engine idling does not seem to have a correlation with transmission shifting. It might have to do with when the engine is and is not at operating temperature. An electronic transmission control issue may be present - this will require some hands on troubleshooting.
