Hello, you cannot "replace" your check engine light -- it lights up when a concern is noted with the proper operation of the engine and emission controls. Sometimes, codes that are set may not turn the light on -- different factors and different codes cause different effects when it comes to the light coming on. Does your light "prove out" when you turn your key to the on position before starting the car? If it lights up and goes off when you start your car, it is working properly. If the light does not even come on with the engine off as it should, the bulb could be burned out. This is rare, but possible. In this case, the instrument cluster would have to be removed and the bulb as installed on the circuit board would need to be replaced.
Okay that makes sense because I've took it apart the dash and pulled the instrument panel out and I did not see any bulbs but just a circuit board and no the light does not come on when I turn the engine over or even to the on position where it shows all instrument lights on the only like that doesn't come on is just the check engine light itself
