catalytic converter replaced now needing oxygen sensors

my check engine light was illuminated and the code indicated I needed to replace my catalytic converter (I have 85,000 miles). I went ahead with the repair ($900 total bill) and 2 days later my check engine light was on again. Now they are thinking I need to replace the O2 sensors since an after market catalytic converter was installed. Have I just been taken for a ride???

We just replaced two oxygen sensors on our 2002 concorde for it's NEw YOrk state inspection. We were told to drive it 100 miles and come back. The engine light went off after fifty two miles then it came back on at 108. Now my mechanic says the other 2 sensors are bad and need to be replaced. I am suspicious, plus I had some of these sensors replaced at about 45000 miles . the car now has 105000 miles. Any thoughts?
