There are so many reasons the engine could die. There could be issues with the fuel delivery system, the ignition system, the emissions controls system, the intake air system, the exhaust system, the base electrical system, to name a few areas. Without performing a proper diagnostic test procedure using necessary equipment and reference materials, it will all be guesswork. Have testing performed and then go from there when you get results.
