Hello, it sounds as if there is something wrong with the communication of the signal to release the shift lever interlock. The signal is given by the brake light switch when you engage the brake pedal. If the brake light switch or associated wiring and wiring connector is compromised in any way, the shift interlock will not release. Check here first.
