Why does my fuel gauge stick on empty and low fuel idicator appears and will not allow my car to start but i kniw i have a half of tank of gas
What is your question?
The car will just shut off and the gas gauge will not move off empty and the low gas indicator flashes and I know I have a half a tank of gas in my car sometimes it will start back up in 20 mins or so other time a couple of hours
What makes this problem better or worse?
If I leave it running in park it will cut off and wont start back for 20 mins sometime a couple hours

Hello, if you're absolutely certain there is fuel in the tank, it would seem to me that there's a power issue at the fuel pump and sending unit in the tank, or a concern with the pump and sending unit itself.
Hands on testing is needed to find out what's going on, but that is definitely where to look.
