If you do a hand switch it will turn over but not start. Very lost a very confused

Hello, With the key in the "ON" position and jumping the starter relay, there should be no reason for the engine not to start, except one. The anti-theft system may not be able to read the key for the vehicle. Look for the security light on the instrument panel, and use a different key if you have one. If the Security light is not indicative of an issue, I recommend connecting a diagnostic scanner to detect operation of the engine control module while the key is on. Any trouble codes found during scanning with a code reader?
