So we can reverse out of the driveway, no problem. Switch to drive and it wont move, it just revs. So we restart the car and it does this click-lurch thing then goes in drive just fine. When we turn a full 90 degree turn, it click-lurches just out of the turn. After driving for a bit, it almost seems to go away, until it sits for a few hours or overnight, then it does it all over again.
What makes this problem better or worse?
The only fix when it happens is to restart the car.
