I would suggest checking the shift lever to ensure it is fully engaged in the "Park" position. If not, the shift interlock may not engage and the key will not come out. Otherwise, the key or ignition lock could be worn and in need of replacement. Hands on inspection is needed. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
Make sure shift lever engaged in the park, if ignition cylinder does not return to off position. Possible ignition cylinder could be the problem.
