Replaced relay, signal switch in column. If I turn on the flasher nothing happens until I turn on the ignition then the flasher relay clicks but no lights operate in the dash or front or rear of car. Both fuses for the system are good have power at the relay on the pink wire always. Power to the black/yellow when key is on. black wire has ground always as does the blue pink. I thought the blue/pink should strobe with ignition on and blinker set in either direction. All brake/park lights work.

Hello, Excellent write-up. This is all correct, and you have identified the issue. The relay should provide intermittent ground on the pink/blue wire. The combination flasher seems to be the problem if there is no short to ground on that wire. Turn the ignition off and check for continuity between pink/blue and ground. If continuity exists, pull the relay and recheck. If continuity disappears, bad relay. If continuity stays, short to ground.
Any idea where the short could be? I am getting some cont. to ground at the tan and light green wires at the turn signal switch. Seems like they should have none, my diagram shows these wires go to the junction block and then to the bulbs.
