In November I took my 1997 Cirrus to a repair shop because it wasn't shifting. They plugged it into a computer and it said that it was the speed sensor. so I scrounged up $150 that I didnt have to replace the speed sensors, all it did was drop the speed of the engine down by only 300 Revolutions. I went to another location in January after getting tired of the issue. they plugged it into a computer and it errored out, twice. due to my gauges shuting down so they told me it was a simple hour-long repair. they had the thing for 3 days and didn't touch it becasue "it's been busy" they sent it to another location and they had it 5 minutes and diagnosed it to being a Transmission Control Modulator. Do cirrus' hate computers?

I would take this to a reputable transmission shop. These shops you've been going to seem to be giving you the run around. While computers do fail, it's not something you replace very often.
