i cannot see the battery from the top. how do i get to it to change it? do i need to pull the fender cover?

Battery is located behind the fender cover in the right front wheel well

You have to turn the wheels as far right as you can, and then there is an access panel on the underside of the wheel well that has to be removed to get to the battery. The air cleaner also has to be moved -- there are directions in the owner's manual.
