Hello, Where is the click coming from? If you feel the click in the key, it may be a sign that the ignition switch is damaged, but if you are hearing the click from under the dash or under the hood, it is likely relays in the body control module or underhood fuse box clicking. This would be a sign that the ignition switch is good. Next time it will not start, place your hand on the starter relay to determine if it is clicking when you turn the key to the 'start' position. If it does not click, test the relay. If it clicks, test for power at the starter solenoid and starter motor. Of course a starting and charging system test may show the issue, but only when the technician can get the car to work improperly.
