Was driving down the highway my 2020 chrysler touring 300 started making a tapping noise in the motor then motor shut off and was smoking from under hood
What makes this problem better or worse?
Don't know first time this has happen to my car

Hello, this sounds like a significant issue. Seek guidance from your local dealership - have the vehicle towed in with roadside assistance, as it would seem realistic that you are under 36,000 miles still. If not, you still have powertrain warranty to 60,000 miles - even if you tow it in yourself. No other advice to offer; a dealership and hopefully factory warranty should assist.
