check the condition and color of the fluid.if its brown,then with the engine off pump it out with a turkey baster till it's gone.top it off with new fluid and let it idle for about 15 minuets turning the wheel back and forth against the stops every couple of minuets.then shut off the engine,pump the resivoir dry again and top it off with new fluid and start it up then test drive.the whole system holds less then a quart.

In 2009-2010 Chrysler made the return line to the power steering pump smaller so it makes the pump work harder. They said, it would not harm anything, but made a wining sound. There is an after market kit you can buy to fix the problem.
