Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It's best to repair the vehicle properly rather than "bypass" a component in any part of the vehicle. The oil cooler has a purpose and bypassing it merely creates other problems...even if it were to be possible. If the oil cooler is leaking or causing intermix of coolant and oil, it must be replaced.
