Fully loaded Chrysler 200 S with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 AWD engine with 105k actual miles. AWD 3.6L engine. Starts, Runs and drives, however, it won’t go past 45mph. Transmission and crankshaft position sensor have both been replaced, but the car is still acting up and still shows the crankshaft position sensor as being defective, and there’s a relatively longer crank time before the car starts.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your Chrysler 200 is giving you quite a headache. If the crankshaft position sensor was replaced and the problem persists, there might be an issue with the wiring or connectors related to the sensor, causing a false reading. The longer crank time suggests the engine’s timing or fuel delivery might be off. Given that the car is also stuck at 45 mph, it could be in limp mode, which the car enters to protect itself when it detects a critical issue. I'd recommend having the wiring harness and sensor connections thoroughly inspected and possibly getting a second opinion on the sensor itself.
