These are rather hard to compress without a special tool you can do do it with some pliers but i don't recommended go to autozone they may have a loaner tool to lend you i found this video on youtube this might give you an idea on how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89uvYc2l3kw

there is a special brake tool,&it turns/twist back.(Don't try to force it back,you will break something.
