What is your question?
My car will not start. The steering wheel is super hard and so is the gas pedal. We have checked the battery and all possible sensors. When we hit the start button all you hear is clicking. All lights turn on the car, including the radio and cameras. We did replace the shifter due to another person said it would fix the issue. Now we are back to square one.
How long has your 2018 Chevrolet Traverse had this problem?

Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Thanks for all the detail, that’s definitely a frustrating situation. On your 2018 Chevy Traverse the clicking sound when hitting the start button combined with all accessories working is a classic sign of insufficient voltage reaching the starter, even if the battery tested fine. A rapid clicking typically means the battery has enough power for accessories but not enough to engage the starter motor. The stiff steering wheel and gas pedal is actually due to the engine not running, as both of these rely on the engine being on for their power assist to work. Even though the battery tested okay I’d strongly recommend having the battery load tested specifically rather than just a basic voltage check, as a battery can show acceptable voltage but still fail under the load of starting the engine. The battery cable connections and ground straps are also worth inspecting very carefully, as a poor connection can cause exactly this scenario. Given that parts have already been replaced without resolving the issue a qualified shop with the proper diagnostic tools really needs to trace this one.
